Theatre du Mississippi is housed within a beautiful restored historic theater and puts on a wide variety of high quality dramatic performances, at times using some of its original beautifully painted backdrops that were in vogue during the early 20th century. Each season, the theater brings nationally touring shows to their stage, as well as locally-produced pieces and the Frozen River Film Festival in January. The company's performance venue is located close to Winona State University, four blocks south of the Mississippi River.
